About Kyle Colson - Owner of Colson Kayak: 

I started kayaking in 2005. I casually paddled on the Mississippi River and knew very little about moving water and the hazards that come with it. I made many mistakes but thankfully, these mistakes didn't have any life-altering consequences. In 2011 I had the privilege of moving to the United Kingdom and received kayak training from a few high-level BCU instructors (British Canoe Union). While in the U.K., I also had the privilege of teaching kayak classes for various age groups and skill levels. I enjoy competing in adventure races and in previous years, had the opportunity to guide kayak trips to the Apostle Islands in Northern Wisconsin while working for an outfitter. I recently received Trip Leader and Level 3 Coastal Kayak Instructor certifications.
